Feminists here like the song from Beyonce "Who runs the world? (girls) but....?
Lose their **** when men mention how civilization was formed and maintained mainly by the work of men?
What the hell is this? One even said "The lyrics aren't incorrect", which is complete BS, as anyone capable of withstanding that drying cat of a song would call BS, but saying things that make the male gender look great but using "facts" is "ignorant", "sexist", and so on.
Why is it that feminists seem to like to say something filled with complete inaccurate statements is "not incorrect", as if to say what they "wish" was true is what is "fact" to them, yet they blow their sh*t when "facts" are stated to suggest the exact opposite?
Sara, that is not nearly as bad. That is a singer singing about an individual, not an entire group. Hell, I have to thank you, I think I love this song.
Do not make the mistake that a song sung by a woman means it is meant to only be about women. Surely you have seen enough trailers on TV to show a song of a male or female character, yet have someone of the opposing gender sing their theme?
Also, having to whisper something only when who they are addressing it to leaves isn't exactly a symbol of power...Just saying.
But again, that song is epic. Ta for that. Not sexist at all, I'm afraid.
Sara, again, God bless you, woman! They are the ones that sang one of the songs I have been looking for for ages. Thank you twice, Missy. (Gasoline, by the way)

Well, apparently, you are just as bad. Here you are losing your **** when women say they "run the world" just like they (according to you) do when men say they run the world.
I was expecting this question to say "Feminists here like the song from Beyonce "Who runs the world? (girls) but.... in the video, Beyonce is prancing around like a tart in barely any clothes objectifying women's image" which would have made more sense to me and probably would have agreed. Can't stand Beyonce anyway and that song is really, really terrible. I'd rather listen to Gangnam Style.

Both the claim that men mostly created and maintained civilization, and the song Who Runs The World by Beyonce, are stupid. I don't like either one.

I agree that the song is sexist, but it doesn't offend me any more than the rap I used to love that glamorized everything from prostitution to beating women. It is music - let's not limit people's creativity =^-*=!
Your comments are more troubling to me, because you actually believe that men built civilization on their own. Arguments separating men and women in this way are pointless, because we can't live without each other. None of those things would have been accomplished without men and women working together in different ways.

I'm scared to touch this answer, but I'll say only this, whoever writes the history book, writes it in their favor.
If you'd like an interesting perspective, look up who ran the Genghis Khan dynasty.

Ha ha Oh honey if that Beyonce song lights your sexist fires, you should give this song a listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tut7JqcTOjE
Women sing this song in stage whisper every time you leave the room ;)

I love the song too. But I still believe that the feminist in me wants to come out.
