What scholarships does Stanford univerity offer?

With the exception of a few athletic scholarships for exceptional athletes who have been recruited by Stanford, all financial aid and awards are given based on a student's financial circumstances. Stanford does not award merit scholarships. The majority of applicants who are admitted to Stanford have stellar grades, high test scores, and impressive accomplishments, so virtually everyone would be deserving of a scholarship. That is why Stanford just focuses on your financial need once you've gotten in. We have one of the most generous financial aid programs in the country, and most students receive some form of it. Those who come from households with incomes less than $100,000 per year do not pay tuition, and if your parents earn less than $60,000 a year you do not have to pay for your room or board either. There are many independent scholarships you can apply for that are based on merit and do not take your family's income into consideration. I received a few small scholarships through submitting applications available in my guidance counselor's office in high school. Ask at your school about scholarships. Also look online. Each scholarship has their own requirements and deadline.
