can I get in trouble for this?
Small scratches on the side of someones car in a parking lot. Someone claims they saw me do it, but there's no video tape evidence...my car has a few scratches but its 10 years old so it could be from any accident - no evidence saying that those accidents are directly related. Should I be worried?

Yup, big trouble.
That person who says they saw you do it is called a witness. And since their story matches the damage on both vehicles and your excuse is something the cops have already heard a thousand times this week, you're boned. A witness giving a statement, by the way, holds more weight in court than video footage does.
