How much does it cost a year to feed a chinchilla?

Well it's not just good you need to worry about... They also need dust, food, hay, vet visits, toys, treats...
Yearly costs
Food itself- 80-100 depending on the quality (6-15 per bag that lasts less then a month)
Hay- 90-120 (hay costs slightly more but they go through it so quickly
Dust- 10-40 (depending on where you live because if you live south where humidity is high you will need to give your chin a ton more dust baths)
Vet- 100-500 (at least once a year if everything is ok but emergency vet visits for problems cost a lot especially if they need an x-ray or surgery
Toys- 20-60 (toys don't cost much at all but chins go through them quite fast)
Treats 3-20 (a can of raisins work and they're cheap but only give them 1-3 a week otherwise special chinchilla treats at the store cost like $5 a bag and should only be given 1-2 a day at the most)
Plus the cost of the chin and cage if you still need that is...
560-1,100 for the first year
But if you already have the cage and chinchilla
310-850
A year.
Hope I helped :):):):)
