I have a question on replacing Laptop LCD?

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z575 and the LCD screen cracked and I have dead pixels on the screen. I found an LCD screen for sale and it fits the size, resolution, and company, but the title says it is for other Ideapad models. If the screen fits my computer's LCD specifications, will it still work?

there is a good chance it will.

in fact it may well be the same as Acer,Dell, and lots of others.

if you can remove it turn it round and quote the part number on the label.

eg LTN156AT01 is used by dell,hp,acer, toshiba and lots of others and is made

    by Samsung

however to be sure what you really need is the screen makers part number to see

and a photo of the rear of the lcd. this will show connection points and cabling

and the Label with the part number on it. The cable connection point must be

in the same position on the rear of the screen. typically top right for LCD

bottom left for LED, with a patch cable to position it at top right.

Also you will need an exact same pixel size lcd, do not attempt to get a BETTER

size like an HD size instead of a 1366x768 size. Get the same as you have already.

Check EBAY for photos and part numbers.

it is not uncommon for an lcd to have seven or eight separate makers and part numbers.

    a warning:

LCD's are no longer made in great numbers as they have been replaced by LED versions.

these do not have proper brightness control and rely on Full brightness to activate them.

Some units even at full brightness settings do not switch on the led screens.

    AVOID an LED replacement.

if you have not were given any thought about laptops then the maximum suitable concern so which you'll be in a position to do is take it into a fix shop. even so a reveal is the costliest part of a workstation. in line with that is age that is extra low priced to purchase a brand new one.

Even if the specifications are the same, the actual plug that plugs into the motherboard might be different. Have you tried http://www.laptopscreen.com/

See if your laptop is listed on this site.
