Which 2013 statistic is more mind boggling?

Rick Ankiel striking out 34 times in 58 at-bats so far.

Or Joe Blanton needing five starts before getting his first 1-2-3 inning.

BQ: Any other wierd stats or events so far this season?

How about Joe Mauer? He had back to back games with four hits followed by one with two hits and two walks for another game with four on bases. Then he went on an 0 for 21 streak, longest of his career.

Wow. I think Blanton is weirder. Hitting is hard...but to go five starts and never once even get lucky? Just wow. Nice find on this one!

BQ: I only follow the Dodgers this closely to know. But Kershaw has wins only in games that he hasn't allowed runs this year. Pretty sad considering he's had 3 games when he only gave up one run.

We all know what kind of pitcher Blanton has become and how he would be

    Rick Ankiel is just appalling.

    What about Stanton's power outage?
