What do you think about these tattoo ideas? Need opinions?
I am thinking about getting some tattoos when I turn 18. I'm 17 right now.
I have several that I have been thinking about getting.
I just wanted to see what other people thought about these ideas.
1)I want to get the quote "Love Like Fire" on the side of my arm. It comes from the song "This Awakening" by Sent By Ravens. I want to get this to remind me/to symbolize loving others always like God loved us. I can't really decide where to get it. I thought about in my forearm as well. What do you think?
2) I wanna get "FEARLESS" tattoed on my inner forarm in bold face letters. I decided to get this when I heard the song "Fearless" by metalcore band For Today.
3)I wanna get a skull of some sorts with my initials under it. and Est. 1996 (year I was born) under it.
4)I want to get "Honor Never Dies" written in cursive. I got inspired to get this tattoo when I heard the song "Honor Never Dies" by Hatebreed. This tattoo symbolizes/ reminds me that honor never dies. That I need to do something to make this world better, to do something to be remembered because doing something honorable will always be remembered and "never die". I thought abt getting under the skull. I'm not sure exactly where though. Any ideas?
5)I want to get "Your Faith Is Only As Strong As The Words You Speak" tattoed either across my chest or on my back shoulder blade. I have to decide which. This quote comes from the song "Salt And The Light" by post hardcore band Sent By Ravens. Where should I get it? where would it look best at?
6)I want to get the cover of For Today's album Breaker, tattoed on my right arm/shoulder. Here is an image of it: http://www.myspace.com/fortoday/blog/539506279
I want to get the word "IMMORTAL" tattoed under it with a cross on each side of the word.
7)I've also thought about getting a cross tattooed on the side of my leg.
Just post your thoughts about each, where I should get them, and if they are good/original ideas?

That sure is a whole lot of quote tattoos. Maybe hold off on tattoos until you nail down what you really want!

Before I go into each idea, I want to point out that most of these seem to be from a song or band, and that if you want originality, then you're not going to get it in music.
1. "Love Like Fire"- I think it's a good quote, I love what it stands for with you(: As for placement, the first thing that came to mind for me was the inside of an upper arm. A place that might not be glaringly obvious to the passerby, but a place you will see daily.
2. "FEARLESS"- Good word. But because it is just one word, I, personally, feel like if it was big it'd be overpowering and awkward. I would make it smaller than an entire forearm. For a girl I'd put placement on the foot or wrist. For a man, I would think that maybe behind the shoulder (from the neck to the shoulder) area would be good, especially if you didn't want it too small.
I also think the crook of your elbow, or a bit below (closer to wrist), would be a good place for either male or female.
3. Skull + name & year- I love this idea! I adore skull ink. I don't know, however, what to tell you about placement because I'm not sure what size you want. Generally though shoulder blade (girl or guy) or one side of the chest (guy), are the best places to stick with.
4. "Honor Never Dies"- Again, I love what this means for you. I wouldn't put it with the skull tattoo (if that's what you meant), I think it'd look cluttered with both initials, year, AND this quote. I'd put it in a separate place. Perhaps under boob (girl) or upper hip (girl or guy).
5. "Your Faith Is Only As Strong As The Words You Speak"- I'm not a fan of across the chest quotes, so I may be biased, but I think having it on your shoulder blade would be perfect.
6. Album cover + "IMMORTAL"- That would be way wicked, and arm is definetly the right place to put it. Just keep in mind how it may look with any other ink on that arm (I'm thinking back to #1 and #2).
7. Cross- If you want originality, I'd suggest drawing it up yourself, or watching someone else do it for you. Side of your leg where? If it's anywhere other than the calf, I think it'd be weird, but the calf would be perfect.
