how can honey be labelled organic?

unless every bee was followed and only took from organic flowers? What if a bee took pollen or nectar from a GMO flower?

Most been are put out into orchards and we get the honey mainly from the type of crop where they are, and will not stray very far from the hives. If it is an organic farm then it would be safe to claim it was an organic honey as they are unlikely to be genetically modified.

If you are interested the more expensive the honey the more likely the honey will be what they are claimed to be as they aren't made on the same great scale as those which are massed produced

There is no way they can guarantee that honey is organic.

It's not like it is a crop grown in the ground - where they can control the pesticide use and how it is grown, etc.

I know honey is farmed, the bees are farmed, but still, they are allowed to roam to pollinate, so how can they monitor which plants the bees are in, how do they know those plants are organic?

You have a very valid point, how can they absolutely tell for certain that the honey is organic. I think in this case ALL honey is organic, because it all comes from bees, which are living beings, therefore organic.

it can't. and it isn't. it can however be raw and unpasteurized, and that is what you should look for. it is also good to look for an address as close to your home as possible. the best way to do this, of course, is to go to your local farmers market for your honey. you see, one of honey's benefits is that it can help your allergies to plant matter, so an urban bee keeper (assuming you live in an urban area) will have honey that will help your body more than a rural bee keeper, as if limiting your carbon footprint and insuring the presence of bees in your area weren't reasons enough to get honey in this manner.

Organic is OVERRATED. Give me one study that proves it better than normal veggies?? Okay some will say pesticide, show me one, just one study that says organic farms do not use pesticides??
