I say good luck to David Moyes but?

After calming down a little, I realise its time to wish him well and give full support however will he really last in the job?

Are United, the fans, the board going to accept a long period of transition?

David Moyes will be taking over a good squad with only minor changes required in Midfield and defence and I believe he will be given sufficient time to place his mark at Old Trafford. Moyes is an intelligent guy with good footballing acumen and a high level of self motivation which he is able to communicate to his players. He comes over well when talking to the media and I feel sure that he will make a success of the manager shop of Manchester United. It is up to him to prove that had he been able to spend money at Everton he would have won trophies. He will have no excuse at Man U and he will have to prove his worth. I really hope he is a great success and can see out his retirement at Old Trafford.

If by October United aren't doing well and languishing in 6th or 7th the fans WILL turn on him and call for Fergie coming back.

That's to be expected if Moyes doesn't hit the ground running. That will mean United will have to face an enemy they've not encountered for many years: pressure of expectation.
