Side hip pain that shoots to my knee?
I did the avon walk and walked 40 miles. about half way through i started limping becuase my toenail feell off. the next day my hip was in extreme pain i think from me limping. The pain is on the side of my hip and goes to my knee. it hurts to stand or walk and sometime is agrivated when i am sitting down. Do you think i am just sore or could i have hurt myself even though i never fell. Should I go to the doctor. Do you think I will need crutches?

Hello Katie: i think you have hurt a nerve a little bit. That is the way a nerve will hurt with the shooting pain okay? Try this if you can get a hot bath and add some epsom's salts. This will relax your muscles and help with the pain. If that should fail them i would see a Dr okay? You have a fine day.
