Pet Stores in Michigan That Don't Sell Animals?

I have already asked this question, but I wasn't very satisfied with only one answer. So, I'll ask it again, just to see if I can get a few more different answers.

I recently decided to stop shopping at pet stores, for animals and supplies. This is because I do not wish to become a supporter of those terrible mills. I don't want my money to be used to put animals through so much pain and misery. I am having a hard time finding pet stores that do not sell any animals. Absolutely no animals. No cats, no dogs, no mice, no ferrets, no rats, no fish, no birds...no animals. Just supplies. So I was wondering if anybody here knows any pet stores that only sell supplies and no animals. Or at least pet stores that don't support these mills. Preferably pet stores that are scattered around Michigan (at least a few places here) so that I might find one we live by.

Also, as I have forgotten to mention in the previous post, I will be shopping mainly for dogs and rats. So, I would like pet stores that provide: dog food, dog toys, rat cages, rat food, rat toys, etc.

Thank you so much for your help! I really do appreciate it.

:)

Update:

Kendra: yeah, I was just looking at their website. They sell very, very little small animal supplies. Definitely not rat stuff. But your answer was still very helpful. Thank you for your time!

Chow Hound doesn't sell animals, but I'm pretty sure they only sell dog and cat items. I'm not sure about rodent stuff.

What signs to appear for? If the pet retailer is selling domestic dogs, flip around and walk out, that is the only signal you need. No official breeder sells their domestic dogs to a pet retailer. I'm sure the woman is not a liar, they are from breeders, simply now not responsible ones. How would they maintain a dog unless they may be sure they are healthy and excessive excellent, if she bought them from a just right breeder that should not even be questioning that. It doesn't matter if the living conditions seem excellent, you do not know what your buying or where it came from. Well being problems can always arise later in lifestyles when the puppy came from two random dogs, purebred or now not. Don't let your self be scammed!
