I squashed a housefly and blood came out?
I squashed a housefly but when I did blood squirted out like it would a mosquito. Is this normal?

Yes this is normal.
But in insects, like flies, blood does not carry oxygen to cells. Insects have hemolymph which carry nutrients such as sugars and proteins to cells. Insects get oxygen by respiring through their cuticle/exoskeleton (their "skin").

Yes flys among many other insects have blood. And it is red at times.
