Because they think they know best and can't accept that everybody is different and have the right to believe in what they want.

Because the system is designed to segregate us by all means, rich from the poor, social status, background, race. The inequalities within the nations are all there for you to not see visibly, but invisibly with silence. Racism and discrimination, no matter how many heroes will come and fall to try to make a difference, will never work. People are too prejudice. A man can only try to hide his inner racism for so long, but who are we kidding? we all have our opinions among those who are different than us. You have to look at the question you are asking, more from a sociological point of view. In life, there will always be that one person that may not see you the same as the other, its just in our human nature and to think we are perfect non-discriminatory beings, you need to wake up. Some people may not like a different religion cause their views or beliefs are different from another group. Some people may not like another culture because their traditions that they believe may be different than our own. Some people don't like others with different political views because they believe something that may either be right or wrong in regards to our views. Notice how the word "belief" always pops up, peoples drive is from their own beliefs from what they believe is right or wrong.

But again, if people viewed this more from a sociological point of view, never mind psychological, you will see some concrete reasons to why this is. People within a group will form those beliefs cause they will share the same characteristics, as well as the opposing group who think otherwise. Than there's was because your view contradicts my view.

    It is just human nature.

Talking about religion, politics or having opposing views is so difficult - I strongly agree with that! I was not able to handle such critical conversations in the past. I always got into fights, which occurred a huge loss of friends on my side :( So I sought help on the internet. I found valuable advice on Your24hCoach, which is a website where you can search for professional coaches who are specialized on certain topics and directly talk to them online via voice- or livechat! My chat went surprisingly good, as my coach really could relate to my problems! Feel free to check out

Call it, "inherited xenophobia," bro. Us primates are hard-wired to be suspicious of the unfamiliar, and that's how our species rose to dominance amid competitors far stronger and much better armed. Can't legislate that out of us or rationalize it away, either, but fortunately we are also gifted with intellegence and curiosity enough to accept new and unfamiliar people and ideas once we become convinced they pose no danger to us.

They view them and their opinions as "wrong" because they're often contrary to their own.

They have fallen into the trap of thinking that "different" and "wrong" are the same thing.
