How to enable touchpad movements while using the keyboard on a Win8 computer?

Whenever I try to move my mouse while holding a keyboard key (while playing a game for example), the pointer will stop moving but the keyboard still works. Is there a way to disable this?

Check your trackpad settings and disable anything that sounds like "palm check." It's so you don't accidentally move the cursor if you brush your palm against the trackpad while typing.

There should be a little trackpad icon in the system tray. Double click that to bring up your settings. If it's not there then check the Mouse settings under the Control Panel.
