Question about sending money to the Philippines?

I have a friend in the Philippines-her young cousin,a girl 16 years old has a birthday coming soon and i would like to send a gift.

Western union wont allow me to send the gift to the young lady cos shes not 18 years old. I dont want to send it in my friends name because Im sure that she wont pass on the gift to her young cousin. Is there any way that I can send the gift directly to the young lady?(I want to just send some money so she can buy what she likes).

Smart Money on her phone is easiest, and does not require a person to be of a certain age, unlike with LBC, Western Union, Moneygram, etc.

LBC wiil remit any amount you like to anywhere in the PI , give you areceipt with a tracking numbe on it. As long as the recipient collects it with sufficient ID she can collect it at any LBC PI office. , if the amount is P15000 or under. Over that amount you have to designate a certain office where she will pick it up.

    How do I know this?

Just last week I remitted a small amount to a pal of mine and I asked, is this LBC policy world wide and they said yes. I also asked about any age limit and they said, no--but the person picking ot up MUST HAVE suitable ID. Contact LBC and enquire for yourself but I am absolutely certain of these details.

Good luck and nice one for looking after the girl.

Luke: Go to Walmart & ask at the service desk about Moneygram

If she has SMART MONEY on her phone that will be easiest.
