Are my plum tomatoes still ok to eat?

I inherited my grandfathers home and he had canned plum tomatoes which expired in January 2009. I know they are probably know good now but I'm curious why or if they would be ok haha I have no food or money atm and they sound good..

Also would tuna and rice with soya sauce be good? I am very limited

    They likely will have a bit of a metallic flavour, the lining in the tins protect them for a long time, 4 yrs on there not bad, but not going to have a good flavour, I eat tuna with rice, soya sauce and hard boile eggs once and while, mix it together.

    If they have been properly canned then they would be safe.

    I would just open one and test it and if it seems ok use it, just don't open all of them at once as you will suddenly have too much to use.

    All of those others should be good also if they have been properly stored.
