Question about gateway monitor fpd1775w tft lcd?
So i have that monitor and everytime i play my ps3 on it the resolution is 1080i but this monitor only renders up to 720p and i wanna know if i keep playing on 1080i will it ruin my monitor ? I mean 720p also looks really awesome

No, if the monitor displays the resolution without any flickering or noticeable effects, then it correctly displays the resolution. 1080i isn't true 1080p HD, since it is interlaced. Most 720p monitors can correctly display 1080i. What your monitor is most likely doing is accepting the 1080i input, and then downscaling it to 720p so it can actually show it.
