Buying a contract phone on ebay?
What happens when you buy a contract phone off ebay? like..... "Iphone 5 £32 a month for 24 months." You buy the phone for 1 pound and then how does it transfer the bill each month to your card? Can you even do that? Im just curious. How does it work?
thanks!

Contract phones through eBay work the same as buying one from anywhere else such as Carphone Warehouse.
The auction price, or £1 you pay is basically just a deposit to the seller. Its just a way of securing the phone. Any contract is still subject to a credit check. So basically you "buy" the auction on eBay, this then sends your details to the seller, they complete the credit check and then let you know if you can have the contract or not. They then normally refund you the auction price.
If you get accepted for the contract then you are signed up in the normal way with the network taking your monthly bill by direct debit.
Basically its just a 3rd party way of the companies getting your details.
I personally wouldn't recommend signing up with anything through eBay. Stick to a reputable mobile phone store on the high street or one of the networks online shops.
