Okay to photoshop legit ID card?
I'm wondering if its okay (legal) to photoshop my legitimate ID card and remove something to send to a stock broker for verification.

I suppose only if it is to blur or cover the information irrelevant to the purpose with a black rectangle.
Blurring or covering that part with black rectangle highlights the fact that you are not sharing some information on the card, and not trying to hide that fact. Is is not the same as doctoring the image and making it so that the person on the other side would not see it.
Now if you change your name or something similar, then you will have a problem.
In the end the worse that could happen is the broker will ask you to send an unmodified image...
