Going to college just to meet girls?
I'm just out of highschool 18yrs old and don't see any reason for me to go to college. Ive never had any girlfriends/relationships. I just feel like college is the best place for me to meet someone. It would just be at a little community college. Where else could someone my age meet girls?
I have a family friend that can get me in this job starting at 45k a year and can top out right around 100k after 10+ years. That's why I feel College would be a waste for me.

Here's what College did for me:
Cal. Tech, Pasadena: Graduated with PhD in electrical engineering. Got a job at JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) in Pasadena. Worked for NASA nearly 30 years. Went many places, saw many things, worked on many projects.
But it was in Houston where I met my wife. Yeah, I had girlfriends before meeting her, but there was something about her that was different.
The thing is I used college to get an education. Not laid.
It's better to build your nest and attract a mate than to first get a mate and wonder how in the heck you're going to build a nest. If College is nothing more than a bar to meet girls in - you're there for the wrong reason.
And if you think this 45K job (which MIGHT turn into a 100K job in 10 years) is the way to go, what happens if the company goes under? Or what happens if it's bought by Bain Capitol and your position is cut and shipped to China? What happens if the economy changes and there's no demand for what you do? What do you do when you need to fall back on your education? Do you just say, "I was in it for the puzzy?" or do you actually have something you can rely upon?
In my career, I've worked on parts of the ISS (International Space Station), Space Shuttle systems, Power Generation, Distribution & Management, Other satellite programs, defense programs and more. I've been into so many different things I can get a job anywhere doing anything.
I'm retired now. I'm 60, have a nice home in Utah, father to five girls and grandfather to another girl. I do contracting work from time to time as an engineer - still in NASA's sights. They sometimes ask me to go to Europe to assist on various programs and sometimes I go to ATK Thiokol Propulsion and do some quality work on their latest projects.
Retired, I make $45K annually. And that's without working. With the additional contract work I can make nearly $200K if I want. And that's because I went to College for the RIGHT reason. Not for Puzzy.
Hope this helps.
'av'a g'day mate.
