if helium gas diffuses at an average rate of 960 m/s at a certain temperature and an unknown average rate of 362 m/s at the same temperature, what is the molar mass of the unknown gas? And what molecule is this? Explain how you decided?
Can someone please help me solve this question, it was on a test i took in Chemistry and I missed it completely, but we get partial credit for test corrections, can someone help me please!

Look up and read about Graham's Law of effusion/difussion.
It states that the rate of effusion/diffusion of a gas is inversely proportional to the sqrt of molar mass.
rate 1/rate 2 = sqrt MW gas 2/sqrt MW gas 1
960/362 = sqrt x/sqrt 4
sqrt x = 5.3
x = 28.1 molar mass of unknown
Probably the unknown gas is nitrogen (N2)

B. It seemed like the Tigers had been overmatched against the Rangers, well let's be distinctive, towards Nelson Cruz. The person is working on overtaking Kinsler and Hamilton as the celebrities of Texas.
