The Chicago Hot Dog is far more popular:
- it has been around 120 yrs while the first deep dish pizzas were offered 70 yrs ago
- 10x more widespread...hot dogs are available in over 1,800 hot dog stands in the area and available in over 1,300 Target stores nationwide...3,100 + many hundreds of individual places through out North America and probably Europe. Uno Grill has about 300 locations in the US...sparsely spread in the SE, SW and West, Lou Malnati has 37 locally, while there are 7 local Gino East places...344 total
- you don't need 3 other people to eat it. More people eat them daily because they are eaten individually...pizzas are usually shared
- cost...a single hot dog is much less expensive than a fresh deep dish pizza...even 4 hot dogs are cheaper
