Go for Mass Effect 3 , GTA 4 , Halo Wars, Dead Island , Hunted The Demons Forge and all 3 Dead Space games. Other games you should get are Dead Or Alive 4 Soul Calibur 4 and 5 , all the Forza Games Forza Motorsport 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 Horizon and Star Trek Legacy.

Get Borderlands! Try Fallout.

As for the games you're unsure about:

Dead Space and Prototypes games are pretty good. I'd at least give them a shot.

As for Assassin's Creed, they're great games but there's only so much Assassin's Creed I can play.

Regardless, I'd try them out.
