Make sure that he's adequate..Hug him and inform him that you're sorry and it will not happen again. Get some assistance with you costs and things, and talking to any person, wouldn't damage both. If someday you feel the have to snap! Take a stroll, take yourself out of the quandary until which you can be yourself...And do not ever hit! However make sure he is ok, feels like your all he has.Do proper by way of him!!

There is a problem with you yes. Frankly step up here and call him when the plane arrives. You have that responsibility. Do try to think of a man that could give him a lift for you like a dependable relative or church member. If you can help out with cab fare. But do call him.

Your friend is a moron, just because he has a disability doesn't mean the law changes, people get ditched and forgotten at the airport all of the time. Leave a voice mail on his phone or call the airport and see if they can somehow relay the message, or pay for alternative transportation for the guy.

I probably would have called a limo service or at least a cab company and arranged for them to pick him up. All they have to do is stand inside with a sign with his name on it. They do it all the time

you aren't breaking any laws by not going to airport, they only thing that will happen is the guy will be mad, otherwise according to the law nothing is wrong.
