mp3 player or mp4 player?
I want to purchase an mp3 or mp4 player. but i really don't know much of the difference b/w them. So can u recommend which one is better for my use? and is philips gogear a good brand?
These are the things i want:
1.It should be handy and look good
2. It should have 8 gb
3.It should be of around $30 range
4. It should have inbuilt speakers (earphones are bad for my ears)
5 good quality music
i hope this isn't too much to ask for 30 $. it needn't be exactly 30$.
Thank u soo much in advance

The thing thats called "mp4 player" is a player that can play music and videos.
The thing thats called "mp3 player" can only play music.
Phillips "GoGear" are pretty decent- and some of the models of the series have good battery life (30 hours). However- I don't think you will be able to find the 8gb version for $30 (2gb and 4 gb if new- or maybe the 8 gb if used condition).
In general players that only play music (aka "mp3 players") cost less then similar range players who cna play videos ("mp4 players"). I do know that players from Archos's "Vision" series can be found for $30 with 8gb (for example Vision 18b), if you look into used players \ aim for 4gb - you will have more options... You can also get a generic player - most "simple" music only players will do just fine (and under $30).

I've had an MP3 and i've received an Ipod now, so i'd say Ipod. I would like to get an MP4, seeing that i am ailing to loss of life of itunes, the best way its the only method that you may put song on. With MPs, you can do what you like.
