i would say ive been in love with someone and not wanted sex but ihave had strong feelings for a girl and not wanted or even thought of it. me and her are very good friends now and text eachother all day everyday haha. so i guess without being in a relationship with her ive got what i wanted. so maybe you are the same try and be friends with this person

If you are both age appropriate and compatible, love happens and attraction occurs. Sounds like you are afraid of not being able to "bring it" which you feel will change the opinion the person has of you.
