I can't breathe in some dreams? Please read entire detail.?

Last night I was coming home from a school trip to Washington, D.C. I've been sick for a while and I took musinex and some other pill to relieve my clogged nose. I got home and my mom and I went to sleep. (My bed is broke so I sleep in my moms room) I was almost asleep. In like a dream but I could here my mom talking on the phone, In the dream I was with my friends and we all started laughing, and I stopped breathing. Like I started screaming "stop laughing I can't breathe" I started yelling for my mom. It was almost like I was high and I couldn't breathe. I kept trying to wake myself up. I finally woke up and I was breathing really hard. My mom asked what was wrong and I said I couldn't breathe I'm scared. She said I was breathing normal like I usually do when I sleep. This happened 5 times. Then I refused to go to sleep, then I was listening to my mom and she started screaming and shaking in her sleep. I woke her up and she said she had a dream where a black demon was standing over top of me and she said "you're not going to take my daughter get away this is gods house he lives here not you!" And the demon laughed at her and like paralyzed her and she couldn't breathe. (She didn't tell me about the dream until the next morning) so after that we went into the living room and blew up an air mattress and just slept in there and nothing happened I went right to sleep but my mom stayed up to listen to me breathe. I didn't have one of those dreams again but she said every 4 breathes I'd choke up. What is this about? Am I in danger?
