any harmonica players?? I need to know...?

I have been playing guitar since past two months and I am really into old folk and rock n roll songs by elvis, bob dylan and beatles and I want to learn harmonica but I have almost no idea...

so could you tell me how difficult it is and how long would it take and all sort of information that would help me....

help appreciated....

    There is so much info about playing harmonica on the internet, you just have to start looking for it. Harmonica is easy to play, just put one to your mouth and start blowing and drawing air, then you're making notes.

    The trick is to play it so that it sounds like music. If you want to play music on a harmonica you have to listen to talented harmonica musicians and copy the hell out of what you are hearing. You should expect to get a lot of guff from other musicians as you progress from sounding not so good to sounding acceptable. Many guitarist especially hate harp players, often with good reason.

    And if you want to play old folk and rock on harmonica you have to learn about the blues, especially 12 bar blues. You have to learn how to bend notes, play single notes, play chords, etc.

    harmonica is easy, can never pick a wrong not as they are built in a set key which means they are great for improvising and learning melody's by ear. on the downside you need a harmonica for every key
