POLL: Rock music or pop music?
My dad and I had a debate on which genre of music is better than the latter. Although, I love classic rock music like Led Zeppelin and KISS, I grew up on Pop music like Michael Jackson, Prince and Madonna. Which would u pick?

I like rock music better.
But some pop is okay.
I too grew up with Michael Jackson, Prince, and Madonna. Remember there were Madonna girls and Cindy Lauper girls ... I was a Madonna girl. And I loved Michael Jackson (in the 80s).

Rock, definitely.
Prince is lame and a freak., Michael was great when he was 10, not so much after puberty.
Madonna was/is a stripper who sings.
but, it's all in the mind of the listener and the era in which they grew up.
the "new" music of any generation is always crap to the previous generations.
Some people love Tears for Fears and Oingo Boingo. why? IDK!!
"All this new music today is a bunch of noise!! They have bad haircuts and wear funny clothes and you can't understand any of the word!!!! Don't you boys know any nice songs???"

Pop music. xD I grew listening to Pop. Rock as well but not as much as Pop. So my taste build up on Pop mainly because there is some great dancing associated with it as well and I love dancing (yeah, ESPECIALLY MJ). :P So pop for me. >.>

definitely pop music…I grew up with it (although I don't really like rap music). In fact, I had a middle-aged friend (when I was in college) who seemed quite disgusted when I informed her that I liked pop, maybe R&B.
