Yes, there's still people who enjoy listening to the oldies and they discover the past of music. There's still people who listen to Morrissey, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Star, Buddy Holly, Mick Jagger, The Edgar Winter Group, The Guess Who, The Who, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more. They also like songs like "How Soon Is Now?" by The Smiths, "American Woman" by The Guess Who, "Hotel California" by Eagles, "Sugar Sugar" by The Archies, "Jailhouse Rock" by Elvis Presley, "Happy Together" by The Turtles and more.

Although many of today's bands and singers are good, the oldies that you list take some beating. Maybe this is because most of them came from a time when music was changing and there was a lot of innovation. Their music kind of redefined pop music and the songs are still as popular now as when they were first released.

In fact, when any of the groups that you like which are still performing give a performance they are usually sell-outs.

Old songs are recorded by today's artists and are greeted with great success. No old artist records a modern song because it would be a flop. So more people enjoy old music than today's music.

People enjoy the music that makes them feel. If manufactured, hiphoppop music does not make you feel. Well good for you. There are cycles for each music. And the new is often taken from the old. Then let us celebrate the good parts taken from the old and ignore the parts that are not good.

Hating them requires devotion to hate, ignoring them is far better. And takes less energy

I like alternative and old music better than some of the poppy music today. I feel like all the new songs coming out have useless lyrics that all talk about boys, sex, or drugs. While the music you (and I) enjoy has a deeper meaning in the lyrics. So yeah I agree with u!

I prefer the older music. I can find a song here and there now that is ok, but before was much better, no comparison.

NO! I hate the Beatles music. I love Metal(Bullet for My Valentine is my favorite band) rap(I love Ridin' by chamillionare, right round and low by Flo Rida, and Frisky by Tinie Tempa) Trance/electronica(Dj Mangoo,etc.)(I'm 17 by the way)
