If the deficit has been cut in half like some liberals are saying?

why are we seeing taxes increasing across the board for all income levels?

Update:

The question is why do we need a trillion dollars in new taxes if the deficit has been cut in half? Clearly the rate of growth has slowed but has not stopped.

Oh and I understand the economy, I make the same money and find my taxes going up every year.

Liberals know as much as a box of rocks..

The Liberal ideology is a theory , fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and which holds forth beliefs that have no basis in reality.

They are Advocates of a policy that empowers a strong federal government to enslave its people with a high tax burden incident to the support of extravagant and unnecessary social programs destructive to both the work ethic among the lower class, and the incentive to innovate and succeed among the working class.

"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic."

Liberals like to spend other peoples money!!

The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

Yes. I remembered hearing that and thinking it was a bogus campaign promise. It's really too bad that Bush and company did so much damage that extra money needed to be spent on the economy. And for so much of the stimulus being spent on tax cuts made me sad. Still he had my vote because he was the best option for the country and he will have my vote again as he will still be the best option for the country. Looking forward it's going to be tough to balance the budget when Republicans just voted to keep billions in tax cuts for the oil and gas industry. And remember how the debt exploded under Bush. They are the ones to believe about balancing the budget. Sheesh.

    DON’T KID YOURSELF

You are kidding yourself if you think that “liberals” are fully responsible

for any tax increase that you may have observed.

In fact, (R) Rand Paul stated that the Sequester doesn’t go far enough.

He wants more spending cuts AND an increase in tax revenues.

The deficit is shrinking but the National Debt is not shrinking.

America pays $260 million a month in interest on its $16T debt.

Republicans are just making much noise and making you believe that

they didn’t want this. They all wanted things to go down this course

because America’s National Debt is reaching a dangerous threshold.

Democrats and Republicans are equally desirous of the belt-tightening.

Tax cuts raise revenue, historically and logically.

Historically, after WW2 we quit spending so much money (oh, it's also good to not be at war if you want to save money, especially wars that are not defensive, but rather offensive in a geopolitical agenda) we cut taxes to boost the economy, and receipts went up because...

Logically, when there were less taxes > people had more money and > people spent more money > government got more tax revenue. Everybody's happy, except me. I don't want to give those b-tards any money.

Source(s): Ron Paul, the freemason I'm uncertain of until I get this freemason s*** figured out.

It is simple math the deficit = spending - revenue and the people who told us that cutting taxes would increase revenue were wrong. It is the increase in taxes that is reducing the deficit by increasing revenue.

Nobody actually knows what the state of government finances are because we have not had a budget for several years. So anyone can claim anything they want and there is no way to refute it. Especially since the government lies about all the numbers anyway.

We are not seeing tax raises across all income levels and the deficit and tax increase are two different things

You don't really understand what a "deficit" is do you? Obviously not, if you can ask "why is the deficit coming down if we're increasing taxes?" Independent of whether that is true. Which, it isn't.
