How do you get windows media player to recognize a device(mp4 player)?
When I plug my mp4 player into the computer, it charges fine and it is plugged in properly. However, when I go to sync music from windows media player, the program says to connect a device when it is already connected. Can anyone help me fix this problem so I can sync music? I think the problem in with media player. Thank you!

You need to set it up in WMP ("give it a name") first.
Aslo, make sure it is fully charged and there is no LOCK or HOLD switch activated (and not while charging).
