Photoshop Elements Question.?

I'm looking into getting Photoshop and I came across Photoshop as well as Photoshop Elements. Looking at the two products, I see that what appears as Photoshop is "Photoshop CC" with creative cloud for storage and what not. I know I want Photoshop Elements. Do I need "Photoshop CC" whatever in order to be able to use Photoshop Elements or am I able to just buy Photoshop Elements without any problems?

No, you don't need Adobe's cloud services to use Elements. Adobe is moving Photoshop, Illustrator and all its other expensive, professional programs to the cloud - and to subscription service. They will no longer be selling disks for them. Users will pay a monthly fee to use them, "rent-a-program". So far, Elements is safe from this kind of thing. If you plan on using Elements for a couple of years before upgrading be sure to buy the disk "just in case".

Photoshop CC is subscription/cloud-based and will replace Photoshop CS6 (the industry-standard professional version) - and both are different from Photoshop Elements

You can choose any one of these, they do not depend on each other
