Cincinnati IRS official: “Everything comes from the top". Wonder what Obama says about that?

The IRS official says the "rogue employees" are not responsible.

"Everything comes from the top. We don’t have any authority to make those decisions without someone signing off on them. There has to be a directive.”

Think about it in your own work. Can you make arbitrary decisions involving hundreds of $$ millions? Of course not. You have to be told.

Update:

@Mr. Wolf .. it says "The Top" as I quoted above...

Update 2:

@oohhbother .. really? Didn't "Deep Throat" in Watergate qualify? He brought down Nixon.

obama will never admit he had anything to do with it . There is a possibility he didn't know and his people ordered it but he still has to have some accountability.

If there was enough concern that the Inspector General began an investigation someone in authority had to know something was going on. That person, instead of being fired, apparently got bonuses and a promotion.

Why should Obama say anything about that? The top of the IRS is the Commissioner appointed by the President and the Senate. It seems clear that the Cincinnati IRS official is referring to the IRS's "top," which is the Commissioner and not the President.
