I think you should go with Honda Brio. Nissan Micra has comparatively more price and Honda will give you best performance, servicing and all Honda's car are more powerful than Nissan.

Honda Brio is a good option in terms of price ranges. Honda makes great cars. There's absolutely no doubt about that. But of course, it's not so difficult to make good cars, even great ones, which start at double-digit lakh prices.
Honda Brio priced between Rs. 4.12 lacs to Rs. 6.02 lacs. The cars technical specs will remain the same with the 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine that produces 88bhp along with 110Nm of peak torque.

Honda will be expensive to maintain compare to Nissan in terms of service cost and spare parts price.
Make sure yourself from any of your nearest Honda and Nissan showroom by comparing the regular (oil, oil filter, fuel filter, brake pads etc..) maintenance cost.

Obviously for safety reasons it would be extremely advisable to replace the tank instead of repairing it, for a cheaper option forget the car dealers and go to a scrap yard for one. Most of them keep tanks and for as little as £30 they'll fit it for you too. As for Nick O's answer sorry nick your wrong mate the petrol tank is at the rear of the vehicle under the spare wheel well so there is no chance of getting fuel on the front driveshafts? i'd be more concerned about the exhaust that runs right next to the fuel tank as the heat could cause to fuel vapours to ignite causing an explosion. Kall you can't weld it, a Nissan Micra fuel tank is made of ABS Plastic.

Honda would be little expensive over Nissan, please do some research by comparing ownership and maintenance cost of both the brands.
