Getting from Dallas to Allen?

What is a cheap and reliable way to get from the Dallas airport to the Allen Event Center in Allen, Tx? I looked at taxis but that'll be like $100, and my roundtrip flight is not even that much.

Ok that earlier answer was about making travel arrangements. This costs you about $5 or $10 plus cab fare for a 7 mile trip.

You can use www.dart.org to get you up there. You will have to take a cab from the train station but you will only be less than 6 or 7 miles away. Type in your start point as DFW Airport and Terminal and your end point as the Parker Road Station. It will give total travel time plus what time you arrive at Parker Road Station to arrange a taxi transport. Maybe Allen events center can have a shuttle bus. Call them and ask them.

Take the Airport Shuttle to the Dart Drop off to the Orange Line Rail Station. Transfer to the RED Line and take it all the way north to the Parker Road Station. Get a pickup from there.

    Example:

Origin: DFW AIRPORT TERMINAL A, DFW TERMINAL A

Destination: PARKER ROAD STATION - 805 EAST PARK BOULEVARD, EAST PARK BOULEVARD, PLANO, 75074

To find really good options, what have worked for me is:

1- Search in advance, to fly in 20 to 30 days from now

2- Take time to search and compare several sites. The more you search the better your chances are to find a good deal.

3- Avoid weekends. Most people likes to travel on weekends, that makes it more expensive those days.

    A fewinks to start looking:

    http://www.kayak.com/

    http://www.orbitz.com/flights/

    http://www.farecompare.com/

    http://www.hoteltraveltour.com/flights/

The most important thing is to be patient, and be ready to go for it if you see a good deal :)
