Hi, please could you suggest some nice bible verses for me to write in my Christian friend's birthday card?

Hi, we're both Christians and good friends and it's her birthday soon. Since she often gives me really nice bible verses when I'm feeling down and things and when it was my birthday she wrote in my card something like 'Every time I remember you and the grace the Lord has given you, I am glad' or something like that. I would like something similar to write inside her card. Not too long but something about our friendship or a birthday blessing or something.

Atheists; I respect your viewpoint but please can just Christians who have suitable bible passages in mind, answer this one, please.

Thank you :)

Update:

Thank you, Esther, for actually answering my question and being nice :)

C.C. I'm sorry if this offends you, I'm not doing this to show off to my friend or anything like you seem to be implying. It's just that I'm new to this faith and I don't know specific bible passages very well, so I just wondered if anyone had any meaningful ideas. Obviously not...

I didn't think I even had to point out that I wanted people to 'answer my question'.

Update 2:

Thank you also to Lidia, and closer walk with thee.

I was very clear that I was looking for Christian responses to this. Atheists your unkind, inappropriate comments will just get you reported or you won't get best answer so there really was no point answering. You haven't helped me at all and I pity you, wasting your time searching the website for innocent questions to troll. Please just grow up.

Update 3:

Cognostic: At least you gave an actual bible verse, but that's not what I'm looking for. And thanks for the sarcasm.

Fatgoddess: I'm sorry if you feel that I have 'excluded' you, but you didn't even give me one of those bible verses you know, so thanks for nothing.

Don't pay attention to these stupid atheists, they just dont understand the Bible. Some verses that I can suggest you are :

''God bless you and keep you,

God smile on you and gift you,

God look you full in the face

    and make you prosper."

    (Numbers 6:24-26, MSG)

    "This is the day

    which the Lord has made;

Let us rejoice and be glad in it."

    (Psalm 118:24, NASB)

Romans 15:13; 2 Peter 3:18; Psalm 84:11. Those are three really great verses for ya! The list could go on and on but see if you enjoy those ones as much as I do! Lord bless! :)

    1 John 2:7-8

    New International Version (NIV)

7 Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard. 8 Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining.

Source(s): The beauty of this one is you can make it mean anything you want.

But this is exactly what i mean. What point is it to write verses in a card that came from a stranger on the internet? Isn't part of the process that YOU put thought into it and YOU looked some stuff up based on some meanings you wanted to convey?

Prescription prayers, assigned verses... it's all so impersonal and it's always made out to be some sort of beautiful, glorious thing.

It's cheating. You're cheating. And you're here advertising, "Oh, look at me. Aren't I great friend and a great Christian, two birds with one stone? Excuse me while I preen my feathers..."

I picked a Christian BA on the following, and I dare say there are Christians who probably agree with me here today on this answer I've given above:

(Resolved) Isn't reciting prayers just a form of casting spells?

    ...

And on cue, the feigned piety. It's formulaic with people like you. Tell me, how will strangers know what will be meaningful for your friend? You're cheating and preening.

    Case closed.

You know what's funny? I'm an atheist, but unlike most christians I've actually read the bible. Several times. As much as I don't want to, old memorized verses still float through my head . . . I could help you better than most christians and yet you exclude me

How sweet. Jeremiah has a really nice verse, I'm sorry, I don't remember the exact one, but it's one of my "life verses".....it's God speaking, "I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, to give you hope and a future". Especially when someone is having a birthday, it's nice to remind them that God has their future in His hands and He has good plans ahead for them.

Bless you both, what nice friends you are!

I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. (1 Timothy 2:12)

Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the cruel. (1 Peter 2:18)
