Hi! French Grammar question!?

Is the following sentence that I just wrote on an exam correct in terms of the grammar? I'm especially worried about the subjonctif passe. I'm missing the accents due to having an english keyboard.

"Apres avoir fait ceci, mes enseignants ont remarque que je sois devenue plus intelligente."

    Hi Jen!

Unfortunately, you didn't have to use any subjunctive after "remarquer que" in that sentence. You needed an imperfect indicative (imparfait):

"mes enseignants ont remarqué que j'étais devenue plus intelligente".

Remember that in French you mostly use the subjunctive in relative clauses after verbs that express a doubt, an uncertainty, a fear or a wish.

    E.g.

"mes enseignants espéraient que je sois devenue plus intelligente" = "my teachers hoped I'd become more intelligent".

Après avoir fait ceci, mes enseignants ont remarqué que j'étais plus intelligente.

Subjonctif hasn't to be employed in this sentence.

These days you can learn how to speak French over the internet. Check out this online course, it's voted as the best French online course of all time: http://www.rocketlanguages.link/french The course is very easy to follow, I was able to learn French in just 3 months.

I live in New York City, I wanted to go to a French language teacher but that would have cost me over $800 per month. Good thing with this internet, $800 it's a lot of money for me.

We all have English keyboards, bought in an English-speaking country like the UK. Then we add 'virtual' keyboards for the other languages we need to write in at times - go to Control panel and language Options, have a look at Help, and follow the instructions - and give yourself a French keyboard.

Do one print-out of what's where on your keyboard once you've added the French option, though actually there are few changes. Just the obvious one, AZERTY instead of QWERTY in the top row of letters. You soon get used to switching

@ bluebellbkk : technically, the use of subjunctive after "après que..." is frowned upon. Indicative is preferred, although it's a common mistake because subjunctive is indeed needed after "avant que...".
