Dating after an abusive relationship?

I was in an abusive relationship a couple years ago and Ive went to therapists and leaned on family and friends for support and have read self esteem books and the works, but I am still having trust issues. Its hard for me to even go on a date. Has anyone been in this situation and if so, what was the best way to help overcome the fear? I want to be able to date again and find someone to share my life with but I just feel like its never going to happen.

Just take your time and be friends for a while, nurture yourself , trust after such an event in ones life is going to feel hard to obtain but it can and does happen, start a hobby or renew an old one.

work on your confidence that was taken from you, and have faith and think positive.

    Peace
