Poll: Why do doctors write so horribly?

It's probably something inherited from the needs to quickly write down notes in seminars, lectures, medical training, etc.

In medical school they had to take notes really fast.

Becoming a doctor is not that easy now,

The speed of their writing messep up their handwriting

And they don't care about it after becoming a doctor.

My mom (who's a doctor) explained that in medical school, you have to take so many notes that eventually handwriting clarity stops mattering, and the habit carries on into your professional life.

They have very little time. They have other patients to rush to. As long as they can read it, it's not too much of a safety issue (unless it's instructions)

because they don't actually know how to spell all the medications so they think if they just write it all really close together and quickly nobody will be able to tell that they can't spell it right

They could never Pass English in Grade School- so They had to be Doctors... ;)

They have to write fast because they have to record what the patient is saying; hence the horrible handwriting

So Forgers have a tougher time forging their signature

because they had to write a lot when they were on college so their letter becomes ugly

well some of them give a shiit about their writing
