So i recently turned my n95 on and i get the error message "sim card registration failed". The phone imei is unblocked, the phone was my dads on contract but he then gave it to me, it's on t mobile by the way. i have two t mobile sims and neither work. will ordering a new one fix this?
I've tried the reset thing and updated the phone but no luck.

try a soft reset and see if it helps. That message also appears when the sim card is damaged; they are very fragile things and if u overhandle them they can scratch easily. Wipe them carefully and slide them in softly and if u still get that message, a replacement sim card will fix that.

each and every so often its the simcard, they are delicate issues and if u arnt careful while swapping them, u can harm them. Ur telephone company might desire to grant u a unfastened alternative. make constructive ur contacts are saved to ur telephone b4 switching.
