How many Co-channels is likely too many for a wireless network?

The wireless internet provided at my apartment is erratic, and I wonder if 24 networks sharing the air has something to do with it. There are 10 Co-channels and 1 overlapping network interfering with the network I'm currently using. Although the answer depends, does that sound like too many?

I bet there's more than one overlapping if there are 24 in total. Get inSSIDer from http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=inssider, it will graphically show you which channels all your local networks are using. You can then pick a channel that is least used.

Your situation is the two the modem or something's happening on the service's central place of work. probable the modem. attempt this by potential of rebooting purely the modem next time this happens. If unplugging purely the modem restores your internet connectivity touch your ISP or telephone organisation to confirm some new one, or purchase acompatible new one.
