what happens if you stay up late to study?
I have a math exam tomorrow at 8 30 am. It's a pretty big exam but I've been tardy with my preparations for the exam. I feel like I need to put in the work tonight for sure or I will not do as good as I want to. If I stayed up until maybe 2 or 3 am studying for this exam, will it be a good thing? or will I just forget everything? I'm pretty good at cramming I guess and a shot of coffee to keep me awake through the exam may help I think. Your opinions?

My answer is too late to be of any use, but ...
Staying up late to study last-minute is not effective. Your brain and body are tired from the day's activities, and they want to rest in their normal sleep pattern.
It would be better to get up early the next morning and do some review before the test rather than stay up until 2 - 3 AM. I tend to think you would forget everything, yes.
Coffee is a stimulant, yes. As far as I know, it doesn't really work as a 'memory recall' agent though.
