Stores that sell roller blades?

I'm having trouble finding a good selection of relatively cheap roller blades (for the boardwalk; not competitive or sports) both online and in stores. I'm in Southern California.

Aside from Big 5, and Wal*Mart, what other places are out here that would sell inline skates?

Avoid most discount store skates. They are not very good, more at the toy level for going out a few times a year.

Walmart has some Roces skates online that would be different. Roces is a major brand but is primarily known in the US for it's aggressive skates. Walmart sells some of their recreational/fitness skates online but check on their return policy since you cannot fit them over the web.

The big names for good skates that you will find in stores are K2 and Rollerblade. (FYI: The sport is Inline Skating, Rollerblade is one company that happened to make it popular.)

I think that Skates.com has a real store in southern California. I have dealt with them online and found them to be a good shop.

Check with some of the local skating groups that do fun skates about shops in your particular area.

Bigger wheels roll smoother and faster than small wheels. I suggest avoiding anything less than 80mm and going with 84mm for a beginner or 90 for an intermediate skater.

Metal frames are better than plastic (aka composite in advertising speech to avoid using the word plastic) and extruded aluminum are the top end.

returned contained in the day: curler Derby replace into born. the guy who began the unique banked music curler derby had a brother. That brother based a corporation that made skates. The call of that corporation replace into "curler Derby" rapid forward to the modern-day: curler Derby type skates are common for being a "low finances skate" and it rather is uncertain you will ever see a "curler derby" skate at a curler derby. curler Derby makes the two quad and inline skates. the extra useful, inexpensive, inline skates are synthetic by utilizing Rollerblade and K2. I advise you seem on craigslist, you will probable discover many human beings promoting their inlines. (some human beings use them once or twice and ensure inline skating isn't for them) in case you won't be in a position to discover any there, attempt community carrying products shops. massive 5, Dick's, etc. As for stability, i might might desire to indicate the "skorpion multi-terrain quadlines" which combine many advantageous properties of quads and inline skates. (they are going to help you stability extra useful). keep away from the line quadlines because of the fact they have had themes with breaking axles.
