anyone else told by the state of Illinois that it will take 6-8 months to get a tax refund?

I filed an amended return and was told 6-8months is the norm. Now they want all kinds of documentation to back up every line on the return. I contacted my State Rep. for help and I feel I am being targeted. Did they see my Tea Party flag out in front? Are they following in the footsteps of the IRS? Just wondering if anyone else has this problem....

    who told you? is it someone who has reliable knowledge?

    if they are asking for additional documentation, be assured your amendment is being reviewed and when they have arrived at a determination, if you are due a refund it will be sent to you
