Percentage points question?

I'm looking at a syllabus that says "After two absences, any additional missed class will result in a 2 percentage point deduction, per day, from the final grade?"

Is 2 percentage points simply 2 points, 0.2 points or 0.02 points?

    I understand it as 2% off/ absence (i.e 2 points) from the final grade
