What's a reasonable price range for a 2000 Malibu with a knocking engine?
It's a 2000 Chevy Malibu with around 105K miles. It runs, but the engine is knocking; I don't know if it's because of a knocking rod or piston slap. Other than that, the only problems are that the AM radio doesn't work and there's some slight rust around the gas tank cap.
Obviously, the knocking engine drops the value severely, but I don't know how much might be reasonable. I need to sell it.

Your Malibu is only worth about 2 grand, even without the engine issue. Post it for $1500 and take a grand, if you can get it.
