How is the expression (x-6)/(x-4) undefined at both 4 and -4?

I even plugged it in my graphing calculator and is only says error at 4, but my worksheet indicates in all answers that x is undefined at 4 and -4, can somebody explain this to me?

    The worksheet must be incorrect then, as (-4 - 6)/(-4 - 4) = -10/-8 = 5/4. The denominators have to be 0, and that is not the case. Good thinking for using your grapher, and you were correct.
