What to name my WW2 girl character and what should she look like?

I'm going to write a WW2 story about a girl who lives on a farm. I don't know what to call her or what she could look like. I've already decided that she'll be intelligent, daring and has a bit of a temper. I want an unusual name that is popular NOW but was very rare THEN. It can be a little girly too.

Brown, Caramel hair. Fit. Hair is normally in a braid. Tom-boy, but has a girly side. Usually wears overalls (or dresses - you pick)

    Hope I helped!
