How would you rank these rock drummers?

John Bonham

Neil Peart

Charlie Watts

Alex Van Halen

Clem Burke

Terry Bozzio

Keith Moon

Stewart Copeland

Ginger Baker

Max Weinberg

Lars Ulrich

Mick Fleetwood

Update:

@Russell - The list was just getting too long, but thanks for the input and for ranking. I'm surprised about your Watts comments, though. Still, good observations.

    Neil Peart great

    Terry Bozzio great

added Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) great

    Lars Ulrich very good

    John Bonham very good

added Ian Paice (Deep Purple) very good

added Phil Erhart (Kansas) very very good

    Alex Van Halen very good

    Stewart Copeland very good

    Ginger Baker good

    Keith Moon good

    Max Weinberg good

    Mick Fleetwood OK

    Charlie Watts pedestrian

    Clem Burke OK

You should include Mike Portnoy at the top with Peart and Bozzio

and what about Ian Paice of Deep Purple or Phil Erhart of Kansas?

(everyone else, don't hate on my selections,...it's my own personal opinion....based on my own musical observations, I'm sure a lot were left out and other people's preferences vary.)

    EDIT on your comment

About my Watts observations, have you ever watched him play? He sits like a bump on a log and plays very minimalistically. Now, his playing fit well with the group, but technically he lags behind those other great drummers.

3 best in history John Bonham

    #2 Mike Shrieve.

and finally #1 (drumroll here).....Dino Danelli (the Rascals)!

everybody on this list could be tied for #4.

But this is only my opinion..(save the thumbs down please!)
